The goals of this accessibility solution where:

• To design some innovative ways of making small spaces bigger without expanding outside of the existing house dimensions.
• To proactively provide solutions that not only addressed Nicola’s needs today, but also her basic accessibility needs for the future.
• To deliver high quality, customized accessibility solutions within a very specific project budget.

James’ challenges prevent him from living fully independently without immediate supervision. These accessibility solutions allow James to live with dignity and more independently in his family home. Living within his own living space gives him the opportunity to practice self-care skills, which benefit his social inclusion capabilities and provide the family with a bit more privacy.
